The Sundays River Valley Collaborative is a non-profit organization aimed at achieving inclusive socio-economic development in the Sundays River Valley.
The Sundays River Valley Collaborative is structured into eight distinct teams each focusing on an area identified as critically important for the growth and development of the community and economy of the Sundays River Valley.
Working with the community, the SRVC has identified a number of key action areas where change is most needed. Each action area has its own Action Team, lead by passionate team leaders from across all of the valley’s communities. Over time these action areas may change, with new teams added or the focus shifting to new areas. At present the SRVC Action Teams are:
The Ad-Hoc Action Team provides critical services aimed at improving and maintaining employment relations, swiftly responding to issues and mediating in conflicts.
The Adult Skills Development Action Team is focused on improving the skills of the local workforce, and improving access to vocational training.
The Sports & Recreation Action Team is focused on uplifting and connecting the local SRV communities through sport.
The Health & Welfare Action Team is focused on addressing key health and wellness issues in the valley, including early child development, women's health, domestic abuse, and elderly care.
The Safety & Security Action Team is focused on improving safety in the valley by working with communities, business and law enforcement.
The Communications Action Team helps connect different parts of the SRV community, share critical information, and build strong collaborative relationships.
The General Education Action Team is focused on improving access to education, improving the quality of education, and creating opportunities for further learning.
The Arts & Culture Action Team is focused on supporting the growth of the arts in the SRV.
The Economic Development Action Team is focused on creating opportunities for new businesses to flourish and improve access to the local economy for all SRV residents.
